Anyway, this is Loki with his son, Sleipnir. Yes, his son is an eight-legged horse. No, he's not the father.

He's the mother.

That's right. Loki got knocked up by a horse. Gawd, I love mythology! :D

Loki became my favourite god of all when I first learned he gave birth to a horse as a horse. I wonder if he every stayed up at night wondering about the way his life turned out.

I was into the myth loooooong before the comics, and I'm actually going to be teaching a course on Norse myth this summer, so. Yeah. :shrug:

Kind of fun seeing a mix of movie like desing and old myths like this. The result is princiless... But we know how cracking mythology is, really.
My only complain is Sleipnir is actually grey, not bay ;)

Yes, it's a really bizarre mix, indeed. :XD:
And Sleipnir is gray, it's said in the leyends (in fact, it's the other only fact known about this horse)As you can see on here, other Sleipnir pics around here, it's grey. ;)
About the movie, not at all. There, the used a Frisian breed, just because it has a flashy apperance, but it's just wrong because that breed is always black and from Netherland, not norse countries.

Haha, every picture I see of Loki and Sleipnir, Loki never looks happy about it :P Such a loving mother he is, really.
